Living with Less: My Preferred Lifestyle
In Goodbye, Things, Fumio Sasaki shares his personal journey toward minimalism and the transformative impact it has had on his life. Rejecting the clutter and distractions of modern society, Sasaki embraces a lifestyle centered around simplicity and intentionality.
I highly recommend purchasing and reading this book.
Here’s how I’ve applied its principles to my life:
I’ve let go of items I hadn’t used in a long time.
I’ve stopped acquiring things that aren't truly essential.
When I make a purchase, I choose multi-purpose items and am willing to pay more for better quality.
Minimize my clothing collection. I no longer spend time deciding what to wear each day.
I’ve reduced the number of bank cards I carry to avoid the stress of losing them. If I were to lose my wallet, having too many cards would be a nightmare and make managing my finances difficult.
And so on
I will continue to update this list as I discover new insights for my minimalist journey.
After decluttering my home and getting rid of unnecessary items, it now takes me much less time to clean than it did before.
How I Apply This to My Work
In this blog, I remove any unnecessary elements and keep only what I believe will help my readers focus on the essential information.
Living with less has given me more time to dedicate to this blog.
